Lalani is a physician with nearly three decades of practice in the Sugar Land and Houston area, board certified in internal medicine, geriatric medicine, hospice and palliative medicine, and post-acute and long-term care medicine, per the campaign site. Elected to the Texas House in 2022, he is a founding co-chair of the legislature's AAPI Caucus and serves as vice chair of the House Committee on Land and Resource Management, per the campaign site.
