Jacqueline Lucci Smith is the Republican candidate for Harris County Attorney in the unexpired term race. She previously served as an assistant county attorney for Harris County from 1998 to 2001, as director and legal counsel for the Harris County Tax Office from 2001 to 2006, and as judge of Harris County Civil Court-at-Law No. 2 from 2007 to 2012, and has run her own law firm since 2013, per her campaign site. She holds a law degree from South Texas College of Law.
