She holds a bachelor's degree in science, a Master of Science in Biology, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology from Texas Southern University, and previously worked as an air program investigator at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and in several Harris County offices, per the Harris County Treasurer's Office. Carla L. Wyatt appears on the November 3, 2026 ballot for Harris County Clerk, per the county elections office's certified candidate list.
