Biography

Julian Villarreal is a materials engineer from San Antonio with a doctorate in materials science and engineering, according to the San Antonio Report. He previously ran for the same seat as the Green Party's nominee in 2020 and is the Green Party candidate for Texas Senate District 26, challenging Democratic incumbent Jose Menendez.

Biography

Jose Menendez is the Democratic incumbent for Texas Senate District 26. He is Vice President and Director of Multicultural Market at Stewart Title Guaranty and has served as State Senator since 2015, according to his official Senate biography. He previously served in the Texas House from 2001 to 2015 and on the San Antonio City Council from 1997 to 2000, and has passed more than 200 bills, including David's Law addressing cyberbullying. No campaign website was found as of September 11, 2026.
