Biography

Trey Martinez Fischer is the Democratic incumbent for Texas House District 116 in San Antonio. A lawyer with degrees from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Baruch College, and the University of Texas School of Law, he was first elected in 2000, served from 2001 to 2017, returned to the House in 2019, and chaired the House Democratic Caucus from 2023 to 2025, according to his campaign site.
