Biography

Diego Bernal is the Democratic incumbent for Texas House District 123 in San Antonio, serving since a 2015 special election. He worked as a social worker helping young gang members in Detroit transition into school or the workforce, then supported at-risk youth in Texas through Communities in Schools, according to his official biography. He later worked as a staff attorney for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund on civil rights, school equity, and voting rights, and served on the San Antonio City Council from 2011 to 2015. No campaign website was found as of September 11, 2026.
