Hemmeter was appointed by Gov. Mike DeWine to the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, General Division, taking office February 11, 2025, and has 27 years of legal experience including nearly a decade as a Delaware Municipal Court judge, per Court News Ohio. She previously served as deputy director of the Economic Crimes Unit at the Ohio Attorney General's Office and as Delaware County's interim prosecuting attorney in 2003, and holds a J.D. from Ohio State University's Moritz College of Law, per the same source.
