Biography

Nieman is a lifelong resident of Orange County who has worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the district for more than 16 years, handling misdemeanor and felony cases. Nieman created Outreach Court, a diversion program for defendants experiencing homelessness, and co-founded the NC Driver's License Restoration Project, per the campaign site. Nieman has also served as an adjunct professor at North Carolina Central University School of Law and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
