Biography

John C. Liu served as the 43rd Comptroller of New York City from 2010 to 2013, overseeing a $70 billion municipal budget, per his official nysenate.gov page. He previously represented northeast Queens as a New York City Councilmember from 2002 to 2009 and chaired the Transportation Committee, and currently teaches municipal finance and public policy at Columbia University's graduate program. No campaign website was found as of September 9, 2026; the State Board of Elections' certification is the only verifiable source for John C. Liu.
