Alice Hanlon Peisch holds the position of House Assistant Majority Leader and has represented the 14th Norfolk District, covering Wellesley, Weston and part of Lincoln, since 2002, according to her official site. Before the Legislature, she served on Wellesley's Advisory Committee and School Committee and as Town Clerk from 2000 to 2003. She chaired the Joint Committee on Education from 2011 to 2023, and in 2016 the U.S. Secretary of Education appointed her to the National Assessment Governing Board.
