September 1 primary result: Djuna Elizabeth Perkins won the seven-way Democratic nomination with about 29 percent over Adam W. Deitch (about 26 percent), Gregory P. Connor, Macy Lee, Robert Louis Jubinville, Jim Barakat and Craig J. MacLellan; Deitch conceded on September 2, per the Boston Globe, and no Republican filed, so the primary decided the seat. Counts are unofficial until the Secretary of the Commonwealth certifies the primary. UNCALLED as of September 2, 2026. Seven Democrats competed to succeed retiring District Attorney Michael Morrissey and no winner has been declared. At 94 percent counted the Associated Press had Djuna Elizabeth Perkins at 29.62 percent and Adam W. Deitch at 26.47, with Gregory P. Connor 14.8, Macy Lee 12.3, Robert Louis Jubinville 8.3, Jim Barakat 6.8 and Craig J. MacLellan 2.2; by Wednesday morning Perkins led Deitch by roughly 2,600 votes, per the Boston Globe and Brookline.News. Neither claimed victory election night, so both are still listed.
