Biography
Jose Alvarez is the Democratic state representative for Florida House District 46, representing Osceola and Orange counties, per his campaign site. A Cuban American who immigrated to the United States in 1971, he has more than 25 years of experience as a real estate broker and business owner, per his campaign site. Alvarez served as a Kissimmee city commissioner beginning in 2012 and was later elected mayor of Kissimmee, becoming the city's first Hispanic mayor, per his campaign site.
