Mary Downey is the founder and CEO of Hope Partnership, a nonprofit focused on housing and homelessness in Osceola County, and was the Orlando Sentinel's 2019 Central Floridian of the Year, per her campaign materials. A former journalist turned minister and nonprofit executive, she is a qualified Democratic candidate for the open District 4 commission seat in the August 18, 2026 primary.
