County Referendum 6, Charter Amendment Expanding Allowable Advertising at Parks

Florida › Miami Dade County › County Referendum 6, Charter Amendment Expanding Allowable Advertising at Parks

County Referendum 6, Charter Amendment Expanding Allowable Advertising at Parks is a ballot question for Miami Dade County on the November 3, 2026 ballot. Shall the Charter be amended to expand permissible advertising in parks subject to Article 7 of the Charter by removing the requirement that advertising in those parks must be related to sponsorship of events or facilities in the parks, provided that such advertising does not unreasonably impair the public use of the park or damage the park and any revenue generated be for the exclusive use of the park system?

A yes vote means: Parks could carry a wider range of paid advertising, not just ads tied to a specific sponsored event or facility, as long as it doesn't unreasonably interfere with public use or damage the park; the revenue would have to stay within the park system.
A no vote means: Park advertising would stay limited to ads related to sponsorship of park events or facilities, as the Charter currently requires.
