County Referendum 3, Charter Amendment Allow Vacancy Election to Sync Up with Other Election; Establish Municipal Qualifying Standards is a ballot question for Miami Dade County on the November 3, 2026 ballot. Shall the Charter be amended to allow the Board to align the timing of special elections to fill vacancies in the offices of Mayor or County Commissioner with other scheduled elections when such vacancies are caused by resignations to run for other offices, and to establish minimum standards for municipal candidate qualifying periods?

A yes vote means: When the Mayor or a County Commissioner resigns to run for another office, the County could time the special election to fill that vacancy to coincide with an already-scheduled election, and the Charter would set minimum standards for how long municipal candidates must be given to qualify.
A no vote means: Vacancy special elections and municipal qualifying-period standards stay as currently set, without the new alignment authority or minimum standards.
