Kanani Souza is the Republican candidate for Hawaii House District 43 on the November 3, 2026 ballot, per the Hawaii Office of Elections' August 8, 2026 primary results. Kanani Souza is the sitting member for the district, per the Legislature's official members directory (capitol.hawaii.gov). She serves as co-chair of the Legislature's Good Government Caucus and chair of its Aviation and Space Caucus. Souza and fellow Republican Sheila Medeiros tied at 842 votes each in the Aug. 8, 2026 primary; Medeiros won an Aug. 15 tiebreaker drawing, but the Hawaii Supreme Court invalidated that method and ordered a new election in the district open to all voters, to be held alongside the Nov. 3, 2026 general election. No campaign website was found as of September 11, 2026; the Office of Elections' primary results are the only verifiable source for Kanani Souza.
