David A. McGuire
Independent · Virginia · 2026Top priorities
- Transparency: limit closed-door council sessions and give every citizen access to town emails and correspondence on town servers
- Ease the burden on taxpayers by raising new revenue, for example a higher lodging tax, high-end stores and events such as running races, and a public-private partnership to make the WARF more cost effective
- More public input in decisions, a transportation committee, department head briefings, a closer partnership with Fauquier County and more decorum at council meetings
Per his interview with FauquierNow, Aug. 4, 2026.
