Biography

Phil Grassmann has more than 23 years of law enforcement experience, per WEAU 13 News. He served as a deputy with the Rusk County Sheriff's Office starting in 2004 and as chief deputy from 2015 before Gov. Tony Evers appointed him sheriff in March 2025, succeeding retiring Sheriff Jeffery Wallace. He is the Republican nominee seeking a full term as Rusk County Sheriff in the November 3, 2026 general election. No campaign website was found as of September 7, 2026.
