John Williams is a financial advisor from Morgantown who has represented Monongalia County in the West Virginia House of Delegates since 2016, per the West Virginia Legislature's official website. He currently serves as House minority chair of the Finance committee. Williams announced a campaign for the Senate District 13 seat in December 2025, saying his focus is on cost of living, child care, housing and health care costs facing families, per West Virginia Watch. No campaign website for the Senate campaign was found as of September 20, 2026.
