Quincy Wilson is the Democratic nominee for House District 1. A Weir High School graduate (1999) who went on to play football at West Virginia University (2003), he was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2004 NFL Draft, spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals, and returned to West Virginia University in 2012 to coach, per Hometown News.

He works as dean at Madonna High School and is a former military intelligence officer and author, holding a B.S. in History from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a master's degree in philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville, per the West Virginia Legislature.
