Julio Cortes is the sitting state representative for the 38th Legislative District, currently serving as Communications and Marketing Manager for the City of Everett, per his campaign site. He earlier worked as a Homeless Prevention Specialist at Oasis Teen Shelter and then as an outreach and public relations manager at Cocoon House, per his campaign site. He immigrated to Washington from Mexico at age five and settled in Wapato, per his campaign site.
