Mariah C. Smith is a sitting Stephens City Town Council member running for mayor, per the Northern Virginia Daily, after Mayor Mike Diaz chose not to seek reelection. She is an Army veteran who served until a little over five years ago, including deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, and moved to Stephens City in 2018. She began on the town's Planning Commission in 2021, was appointed to Town Council later that year, and was elected to a four-year council term in 2024. No campaign website was found as of September 27, 2026.
