Richard King, of Springfield, is a lieutenant with the Windsor County Sheriff's Department who has spent more than 24 of his 36 years in law enforcement there, per the White River Valley Herald. He is the Republican nominee for Windsor County sheriff, facing Democratic nominee Claude Weyant in November. No campaign website was found as of September 11, 2026; the Secretary of State's general election candidate list is the only verifiable source for Richard King.
