Jace Laquerre is on the Vermont Secretary of State's general election candidate list (updated Aug. 27, 2026) as the Republican candidate for Chittenden County State's Attorney on the November 3, 2026 ballot. Jace Laquerre is a software engineer from Milton who was nominated by the Vermont Republican Party to challenge incumbent State's Attorney Sarah George, per VTDigger. As a teenager he served as one of Vermont's delegates to the 2016 Republican National Convention. Laquerre has said he will resign immediately if elected, creating a vacancy for gubernatorial appointment, and does not intend to run a traditional campaign, per VTDigger. No campaign website was found as of September 11, 2026; the Secretary of State's general election candidate list is the only verifiable source for Jace Laquerre.

She told Vermont Public the criminal justice system has "a lot of room to be better and to have a system that is actually just and fair," and her campaign site sums up her approach as keeping justice fair, smart and free from fear.
