Biography

Roland Gutierrez is the Democratic incumbent for Texas Senate District 19. He is an attorney and founder of the Gutierrez Law Firm, which specializes in immigration law, according to his official Senate biography. He earned a BA in political science from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1995 and a law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1998, and previously served as a state representative from 2008 to 2021 and on the San Antonio City Council.
