Pete Flores is the Republican incumbent for Texas Senate District 24. He is a retired Texas Game Warden who served 27 years, retiring in 2012 as the first Hispanic Texas Game Warden Colonel in history, according to his official Senate biography. He chairs the Senate Committee on Criminal Justice, co-founded the Texas Hispanic Republican Caucus in 2024, and has held the seat since a 2018 special election.
