Amy Martinez-Salas is a legal assistant and first-time candidate who was raised in Arlington by a single mother who immigrated from Mexico, according to the Fort Worth Report. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2024 and is the Democratic nominee for Texas Senate District 22.

David Cook currently represents Texas House District 96, first taking office in 2021 after serving as Mayor of Mansfield from 2008 to 2021, according to his official Texas House biography.
