Jenkins has served as Dallas County Judge since 2011, coordinating the county's response to public health emergencies including West Nile virus and Ebola, per the campaign site. He chairs the Enroll North Texas Coalition on health insurance enrollment and serves as chief elected official of Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas, whose 2017 initiative connected more than 2,300 job seekers with higher-paying positions, per the campaign site. He also champions the Dallas County Promise, which provides tuition-free college access for local high school graduates, per the campaign site.
