Golden previously worked as Environmental Health Manager for Martinrea and as Health and Safety Manager for the City of Clarksville before becoming Montgomery County Mayor, per the campaign site. He also served the community as a firefighter and EMT and was named YMCA Volunteer of the Year in 2016. Under his first term, the county created the Montgomery County Fire Department and opened new schools and parks.
