John Joseph Lombardi of Providence is the Democratic candidate for Rhode Island House District 8 on the November 3, 2026 ballot, per the Rhode Island Department of State's declared-candidates report and the Board of Elections' September 9, 2026 primary results. John Joseph Lombardi is the sitting member for the district, per the Board of Elections' incumbent marker on the primary results. Lombardi is an attorney who was named chief judge of the Providence Municipal Court in January 2023, after serving as an associate judge there since 2014, according to his official General Assembly biography. He served on the Providence City Council for more than 26 years, including one year as acting mayor and eight years as council president, before being first elected to the House in November 2012. No campaign website was found as of September 11, 2026; the Department of State's declared-candidates report is the only verifiable source for John Joseph Lombardi.
