Per OPB's reporting on the May 19, 2026 primary, former Hillsboro Mayor Steve Callaway led a six-candidate field with about 36% of the vote; Hillsboro City Councilor Kipperlyn Sinclair finished second. Ayla Hofler, Anthony Martin, Paul Schaefer and Kimberly Culbertson were eliminated. Callaway and Sinclair advance to the November 3, 2026 runoff; results were reported as unofficial/preliminary.
