Biography

Alek Skarlatos represents Oregon House District 4. He is a former Oregon National Guard member and Afghanistan veteran who helped subdue an armed attacker aboard an Amsterdam to Paris train in August 2015, receiving the US Soldier's Medal and French honors, per his campaign site. He serves as Deputy Republican Caucus Leader and lives in southern Douglas County, where he operates a ranch.
