Biography

James Rhodes is the interim Clackamas County Sheriff and a candidate for the office. He worked for the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office from 1997 until his retirement in 2021, at one point serving as Wilsonville's police chief, and was appointed interim sheriff by the county Board of Commissioners in 2026, per Oregon City News Online. No campaign website was found as of September 22, 2026.

He grew up in the Gladstone School District, graduating from Gladstone High School in 1996, and has been a Clackamas County resident for more than 40 years, per his campaign site.
