Adam P. Holmes is the Republican incumbent for Ohio House District 97, serving his fourth term representing Muskingum County and western Guernsey County after being appointed in the 133rd General Assembly, per the Ohio House of Representatives. He is CEO of Frueh Enterprises, a mechanical and industrial contracting company in Zanesville, and spent more than 27 years on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps before retiring as a colonel in 2016, per the same source.
