Rummel spent nearly 40 years at TMI Systems Design, rising from staff accountant to president and chief operating officer before retiring in 2017, per the campaign site. Rummel is a lifelong Dickinson resident who previously served on and led the Dickinson School Board, per the campaign site. Rummel currently serves as a North Dakota state senator and vice chair of the Senate Finance and Taxation Committee, per the campaign site.
