Michelle McEntire was appointed District Court Judge for the judicial district serving McDowell and Rutherford counties by Governor Roy Cooper in July 2020, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Randy Pool, per a North Carolina Judicial Branch news release. McEntire was a sole practitioner at McEntire Law, PLLC and previously worked in the District Attorney's Office and as a clinical social worker, per the same release. No campaign website was found as of September 27, 2026.
