Biography

Thai Vang currently serves as a District Court Judge covering Montgomery and Stanly counties, first elected in 2018, per the North Carolina Judicial Branch directory. Vang served as chief assistant district attorney in Stanly County for more than 10 years before joining the bench, per the Stanly News Journal. He received his undergraduate degree from George Washington University and his law degree from North Carolina Central University, and was the first Laotian American district court judge in North Carolina. No campaign website was found as of September 27, 2026.
