Carrie Vickery was appointed by Governor Josh Stein to the Superior Court in Judicial District 31B, covering part of Forsyth County, on September 21, 2026, becoming the county's first female Superior Court judge, per Elon University. She had served as a Forsyth County District Court judge since 2017 and has been an adjunct professor of law at Wake Forest University School of Law. Vickery earned her Bachelor of Arts from Western Carolina University and her Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law.
