Myra Griffin earned her political science degree from UNC Chapel Hill and her law degree from North Carolina Central University, per her campaign website. She served as an Assistant Attorney General representing the North Carolina Industrial Commission, was appointed Deputy Commissioner in 2005, and was appointed to the Full Commission by Governor Roy Cooper in 2018, per the same source.
