Meader Harriss is a District Court Judge for the First Judicial District, covering Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Pasquotank and Perquimans counties, first elected in 2010, per dailyadvance.com. He holds a B.A. in business administration from the College of Charleston and a J.D. from the Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, and worked as an assistant public defender in the First Judicial District focusing on juvenile defense and parent representation before joining the bench, per the College of Charleston alumni magazine.
