Christopher Ryan, who goes by Chris Ryan, is the Democratic incumbent for Senate District 50. They trained as a lineman with the Communications Workers of America and were elected president of CWA Local 1123 in 2014, per the New York State Senate. They grew up in the town of Geddes, where they currently reside, and assumed Senate office on January 1, 2025, per the New York State Senate.
