Cordell Cleare is the Democratic candidate for New York Senate District 30 on the November 3, 2026 ballot, per the State Board of Elections' certified general-election ballot. Cordell Cleare is a sitting member for the district, per the State Senate's member directory. Cleare, raised in Harlem, worked for decades as a tenant organizer and activist before serving nearly 20 years as chief of staff to Bill Perkins in the City Council and State Senate, per her official Senate page. She led the New York City Coalition to End Lead Poisoning, work that shaped the city's 2004 Childhood Lead Poisoning Law, and chairs the Senate Aging Committee, per the same source.
