Maritza Davila began her career as a community organizer in Bushwick and Williamsburg, per her official Assembly biography. She served as president of Community School District 32's board of education, founded the Northern Brooklyn Residents Association, and worked with the Ridgewood Bushwick Senior Citizens Council for over 20 years, helping establish a credit union and secure housing assistance for families. She earned an associate degree in political science from Long Island University in 2013 and chairs the Assembly Committee on Social Services.
