Biography

Serrato is a first-generation college graduate with a public policy degree from Stanford University who began her career organizing communities in eastern New Mexico for the 2008 Obama campaign, per the campaign site. She later worked on Capitol Hill on natural resources policy and public lands legislation and was a founding member of an organization that ran ballot initiatives to raise the minimum wage in several states, per the campaign site. She now represents District 45 in Santa Fe, per the campaign site.
