Roy is a 1985 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy who retired after 32 years of Air Force service in 2013, per the campaign site. He has also worked as an FAA-certified aircraft dispatcher, a middle school science teacher, and now works as a Management and Program Analyst with the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Montana VA Healthcare System, per the campaign site.
