About this race
Elliot Lahn is the only certified filer for the unexpired term; unopposed candidates still print on Missouri ballots. The Platte County Landmark reported on August 20, 2026 that Lahn withdrew his candidacy and that the county Republican central committee would name a replacement nominee by a September 11 deadline; this page keeps the certified filing until the county clerk's November candidate list confirms the substitution (re-verify after September 11).
What this office does
County treasurer. The county treasurer collects property taxes and other revenue, holds the county's funds, and invests them under state rules. The treasurer distributes tax collections to the county, cities, school districts and special districts that levy them. The office is a custodian of public money, not the body that sets the tax rate.
This race. Every voter in Platte County votes on this seat. One name is on the ballot for this seat.
