Phyllis Hernandez is the executive director of Sala de Arte, an art gallery she founded in 2021 in Historic Northeast Kansas City, and has served on Kansas City's Small Business Task Force and boards including the Sheffield Neighborhood Association and Guadalupe Center Charter Schools, per The Beacon: Kansas City. She previously worked as a legislative assistant for Missouri state representatives and as a supervisor at the Kansas City Public Library. She is the Democratic candidate for Jackson County's 3rd District Legislature seat. No campaign website was found as of September 6, 2026.
