Biography

Veena Iyer is a Ramsey County District Court judge appointed by Governor Tim Walz, currently assigned to the criminal division handling felony cases, per her campaign website. She began her legal career as a legal aid attorney in Chicago, later practiced employment law and served as executive director of a legal assistance organization for new Americans, per the same source. She serves on the boards of the Ramsey County Law Library and Augsburg University, per her website.
