Rachel M. Keys is a U.S. Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Iwo Jima and later worked as a weapons specialist and combat trainer for the Department of Defense, per her campaign site. She is a citizen of the Bay Mills Indian Community and serves as keeper of the Point Iroquois Lighthouse in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, per the same source. Keys is a Democratic candidate for the open Michigan House District 108 seat in the 2026 general election.
