Stephanie L. Everett is an attorney serving as Suffolk Register of Probate and Family Court since August 2023, when Governor Maura Healey appointed her as the first Black person to hold the position, per the Governor's office; she won a November 2024 special election to retain the seat. She previously was executive director of Boston's Office of Police Accountability and Transparency, per the appointment announcement.
